Teachers

Teachers are the main driving force of Zartnir – they help children learn how to work with books and how to love them, they share their energy and enthusiasm with children.

Most of teachers who participate in Zartnir are from Teach For Armenia program.

Groups are formed according to 2 age groups: 2nd-6th graders and 7th-12th graders․

We developed set of quite easy and convenient tools for teachers to help them create captivating classes. These tools include creative tasks, developing games, discussion questions, debates and performance programs, etc.

Besides the fun part, our classes also pursue an academic goal that is why we require our students to write an essay on every book they read. It helps not only develop writing and analytical skills but also it plays as a feedback for teachers and us, so we can track our students’ progress. When we compare their first and last essays, we get amazed with the result!

We would like to design such a system that can be adaptable and easy-to-use for the all Literature teachers in Armenia. Thus, we are currently working on Teaching Aid for every book together with professors and Literature teachers. Such templates will make teacher’s preparations easier and this will enable us to introduce the system even in remote areas of the country.
